Relackout
Version 2.3.0 · July 24, 2026

What's new

Smarter Sound Reactive lighting, plus microphone and Windows fixes

Sound Reactive now analyzes music in much finer detail, with an optional automatic level control that adapts to your room and a single master sensitivity knob you can adjust from Settings or right on the mixer widget — plus a fix for microphone input going silent on Mac, and text fields on Windows that finally accept typing everywhere.

graphic_eq

Sound Reactive gets much more detail

Music is now analyzed across 8 frequency bands instead of 3, so lights track bass, mids, and highs with far more nuance — and hits feel snappier now that the response isn't double-smoothed.

tune

Automatic — or manual — sensitivity

Turn on auto-gain to let Relackout adapt to your room and sound source on its own, or leave it off and dial in sensitivity yourself with the new master gain control — available from the Sound to Light page and right on the mixer widget.

mic

Microphone input fixed on Mac

Sound Reactive lighting driven by a microphone stayed silent on macOS — that's fixed, so mic input now works as expected.

Improvements

  • check Windows: Art-Net/DMX output is smoother and stays steady even when the app is minimized.

Fixes

  • build Windows: text and number fields across the app — Mixer Designer, Scene Designer, and more — now accept keyboard typing reliably.

Everything that shipped before this release.

v2.2.0 Sound Reactive presets, per-widget color, and player fixes July 17, 2026 expand_more

Pick and reorder which Sound-to-Light presets show on the Sound Reactive widget, give any widget a custom color, get warned about duplicate Sound Reactive widgets, and enjoy a fixed player that no longer jumps tracks or forgets where it stopped.

  • graphic_eq Sound Reactive preset picker — Choose which Sound-to-Light presets appear on the widget and reorder them with arrows — leave it unset and every preset still shows in save order, just like before.
  • palette Custom color, everywhere — Fader, knob, color picker, music player, masters, notes, Sound Reactive, and Show Transport widgets all gained the custom frame/fill color that other widgets already had.
  • warning Duplicate widget warning — Adding a second Sound Reactive widget now asks for confirmation, and every duplicate shows a persistent badge on the mixer layout.
v2.1.0 Kalfa integration: AI-designed lighting on your real rig July 14, 2026 expand_more

Connect Relackout to Kalfa, sync your fixture inventory to the cloud, and import AI-generated lighting designs as ready-to-use scenes and cues — plus step-by-step cue playback, Sound-to-Light presets, and device naming.

  • hub Kalfa Packages inbox — Lighting designs generated in Kalfa (kalfa.art) arrive in the app. Preview any cue live on your rig, import selectively or all at once — every design becomes a separate Scene + Cue you can assign on the mixer.
  • cloud_sync Cloud fixture inventory — Your patched fixtures, modes, and groups sync to your account, so Kalfa designs against the lights that actually exist on your stage.
  • stacks Step-by-step cue playback — New manual play mode: advance cues only with GO, jump to any step by clicking, and always see the active step highlighted.
  • graphic_eq Sound-to-Light presets — Save mapping sets as named presets and switch them from the page or the touch-ready selector on the Sound Reactive widget.
  • check Pagination on long lists (scenes, cues, notes, Kalfa packages)
  • check Name this device from Settings — the label appears in the customer panel and Kalfa device pickers
  • check Cue page header now hosts the play-mode selector and visualizer button
v2.0.4 Support, community fixtures, and pro workflow July 10, 2026 expand_more

Built-in support center, a shared fixture library, undo everywhere, multi-device USB DMX and sACN output — plus a big round of editor and remote upgrades.

  • support_agent Built-in Support Center — Create support tickets right from Settings (or the customer panel), follow threaded replies, and get notified by email and in-app badges when we answer.
  • lightbulb Community Fixture Library — Official and community fixtures in one searchable library. Download with one click, or share your own fixture from inside the app.
  • undo Undo everywhere — Cmd/Ctrl+Z across Scene Designer values, patch and fixture deletions, and cue steps — mistakes on stage are no longer permanent.
  • tune Fixture controls inside editors — The semantic fixture panel (joystick, RGB picker, beam sections) is now embedded in Cue step editing and Scene Designer — no more raw channel guessing.
  • library_music Music import wizard — Bulk import from files or folders (or drag & drop), cleaned track names, duplicate skipping, optional auto-playlist — and playlist reordering.
  • usb Multi-device USB DMX — Assign each USB dongle to its own universe (or mirror one universe to several) from Settings, with hot-plug awareness.
  • settings_input_antenna sACN (E1.31) output — Multicast sACN alongside Art-Net: per-universe senders, configurable priority, and unchanged-frame suppression with keep-alive.
  • settings_remote Remote grows up — Design mixer layouts from the web remote, drive cues with a touch-first transport page, and lock your zoom/position so faders never slip mid-show.
  • check Cue Stack completed: add steps from the live stage state or empty, once/loop toggle, inline rename, full TR/EN localization.
  • check Optional crash reporting (off by default) — anonymous version/platform/stack only, so we can fix issues faster.
  • check Performance acceptance harness: the 25 ms engine is now continuously verified (tick jitter p99 < 5 ms under load).
