Music library and playlists
Bulk import your tracks, sort them into categories, build a playlist, use repeat modes and set the master volume in the Music Library.
You can run your music right alongside your lights, in the same app. This guide takes you through the Music Library screen end to end: bulk importing your tracks, sorting them into categories, building a playlist and reordering it, playing the list with its repeat modes, and setting the master volume.
Open the Music Library
The screen has three columns: Categories on the left, Tracks in the middle and Playlists on the right. The top bar holds the Master volume slider, a repeat button, stop and play. The library is empty for now.
Bulk import your tracks
For a single file, Add track is enough; for several tracks, Bulk import is faster. MP3, WAV, OGG and M4A are supported — pick files one by one, pick a whole folder, or drag files onto the window.
Track durations show as ”—:—” in the list — that’s not a bug, duration just isn’t calculated on import. A copy of each file is added to the library; the source files stay where they are.
Sort tracks into categories
As your tracks pile up, categories keep things tidy.
After the move, the three rows stay selected; click the X to the left of Selected 3 to clear the selection.
Right-click a category and you can also turn it into a playlist in one step (Create playlist from category). The same track can sit in more than one playlist.
Build a playlist
The Remove from list icon only takes a track out of this list — it stays in the library.
Play and use repeat modes
With the repeat button off (Stop after current track (no auto-advance)), the playing track stops at the end and doesn’t move on — useful if there’s talking or an announcement between tracks. Click it once, and you get Repeat entire playlist: the list plays in order and starts over at the end. Click once more for Repeat current track only.
Set the master volume
This slider only affects the music’s level; your lights stay as they are. The MASTER fader on the Live Control screen dims the lights and leaves the music alone — two separate controls.
What’s next
To sum up: bulk import your tracks, sort them into categories, build a playlist, pick a repeat mode, and set the level with master volume. The music keeps playing when you switch screens, so you can head to Live Control and run your scenes alongside it. Next up: Sound-to-Light, making your lights react to the music.
